What causes pain while running after an ankle injury?

Hello doctor,

I injured my ankle three weeks ago and there is a pain somewhere behind the foot. I am able to walk and jog slowly but not able to run. So what might be the reason behind this pain and what should I do to start running again?

Can a wrongly performed NUCCA be corrected for the atlas?

Hello doctor,

What would happen if my atlas was subluxated to the left, but a NUCCA adjustment was performed on my right side instead? Would the atlas then become subluxated to the right, or would it become further jammed to the left? Could an arterial dissection arise? Also, regarding NUCCA, what specific movements or rotations can you get for the atlas? Can you only raise it or lower it? I am in extreme discomfort after multiple atlas adjustments, and it feels as though it is jammed much too far to the left. Each time my chiropractor attempted to adjust me on my left side, the resulting stiffness and restricted motion got worse. My rib juts out on my left side now, and it feels very sore. My atlas was initially mildly subluxated to the right when my chiropractor decided to adjust it on my left side, which then caused the subluxation to switch sides, so I was curious whether adjusting my atlas on the right would cause it to become subluxated on that side again, or make it more ‘level’? My problems started a year or so ago when I went in to see a chiropractor for mild neck stiffness on my right side. It was nothing unbearable, just some mild discomfort. He then proceeded to adjust my atlas on my left side, and it became ‘jammed.’ I went to him again, hoping to fix it, but when he adjusted my left side again, it became even more jammed to the left, and I felt this unbearable tugging sensation throughout my body, and then my left rib started poking out. Currently, I am taking Gabapentin.

What causes strain and tugging pain in the right knee?

Hello doctor,

I am 18 years old girl and normally squat reasonably heavy 143 lbs. These past weeks I have been feeling a straining tugging pain coming from my right knee on the inside. I think it is the MCL. It does not cause me any problems in day to day life but hurts a decent amount when I squat even with no weight. I am worried if it is serious. I have been doing no weight this past week and using the band to strengthen my hip flexors and stuff. I am on a cut at the moment so I do not want to be stopping exercise. Please help.

Thigh muscle injured, odd feeling when stretching. Help?

Hello doctor,

I am a 22-year-old male. I played soccer throughout my teens competitively. Five years ago, I injured the muscle in my thigh, what I presume was a tear of which I sat out from sports for a week or two, however, was rushed back into playing by my mother who thought I was faking the injury. I injured the muscle again, and these proceeded to happen again, leading me to quit sports and focus on going to studies the following year.

Currently, whenever I stretch my thigh muscle by pulling my leg up behind me, I get a slightly uncomfortable feeling in my thigh muscle which I know is not normal, however, it is not painful enough to tell me to stop doing it. Furthermore, I have been in the gym and jogging where my muscle seems to be fine, but when I decide to sprint there is a 50 percent chance that I will get into discomfort again. However, it does not feel like a tear, but it will become numb for a few days and finally, if I go to kick a ball it is almost certain that the same result from sprinting will happen.

I have recently started to stretch the muscle to try and see if I can regain its strength to allow me to do these few things again without worrying about hurting my muscles again. I am not sure what other things I can do to help this, such as different types of stretches, etc.

What is the recovery time for ACL reconstruction surgery?

Hello doctor,

I am 25-year-old. I have gone through ACL (anterior circurate ligament) reconstruction and meniscus repair surgery on left leg almost three months before. Now, on post-op rehabilitation. The doctor has suggested me to walk slowly. Currently, doing squats and weight exercises. I just wanted to know still how much time it will take for me to walk and run normally. Will I be able to be normal in future like others from past 10 days? I am getting pain near knee cap region. Even after three months post operatively.
