Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 65-year-old female. I am on no medication and play tennis thrice a week. I have been experiencing tingling in my legs while playing. Eventually, my legs will have spasm. I am staying hydrated and adding an electrolyte powder to my water. I have added a magnesium supplement to my daily regime. Please help.
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Considerable amount of required water intake is very important, though, along with some stretching exercises. Always remember to start your day with a warm-up session before it. This will help improve the flexibility and contracting properties of your muscles. And hence reduce the chance of cramps and injuries. Lower limb stretching exercises like hamstring, calf muscle, squatting, adductors, abductors stretching, and piriformis stretching are essential. And after the match, a cool-down session with small marching, a brisk walk around the area, and stretching again will work wonderfully. Continue with electrolyte intake in between the match also.
I hope this information will help.
Thanks.
