Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am planning to lose weight, and I am a 27-years-old male with a weight 89 kgs and a height 167 cm. With my daily exercise practice, which I started doing three months ago, is it fine to take a protein shake if my goal is to lose weight only?

Answered by Dr. Atul Prakash

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You do not want to lose muscle which often happens when people lose weight. Taking a protein shake is fine, but most protein shakes are steroid jacked, and you will gain and lose weight. Take egg white, lentils, and cheese to make up for a protein shake.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
