    Hi,
Since the patient belongs to normal weight category, her recommended calorie intake should be 30kcals/ kg body weight. The weight gain should be around 10-12kgs for the three trimester .
Avoid on direct sugars. One to two fruits is allowed daily. Calcium intake should be normal. Everyday ghee should be allowed and oil intake should be 20- 25% of the total calorie intake.

    Hi,
Best recommendation for her would be to eat small regular meals, where complex carbs like fibre in the form of salad and whole grains should be included in major meals. She can take small snacks in between meals like fruits or nuts.
Ask her to include bedtime snack be it just a glass of milk to avoid morning hypoglycemia.
Ask her to avoid sugar and sugary products, bakery products, ready to eat packaged foods, also no artificial sweeteners to be included, she can include Stevia 1 or 2 sachets.

Make sure her intake of fat is not too high. recent studies show that high intake of fats negatively affect the efficiency of insulin. Certainly avoid refined and junk sugars, but plenty of fruits and veggies, in combination of lowering obvious fat intake is advised.
