Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 18 years old and about 240 pounds. I went to see a nutritionist, and she did not relay much information to me but told me what I already knew about myself. It seems like I am not progressing, although I have eaten healthier than before. I try to eat turkey and chicken with vegetables, but I know nothing about cooking. Maybe I should have the same meal plan every day? I feel that will be easier. My BMI is 40. I believe I need some advice on how to get healthier and lose this weight because my cholesterol is a bit high. I cannot rely on anyone in my family to encourage or help me out.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Follow this weight loss diet plan,

Alternative foods are mentioned below.

1. In the early morning, at 7 am, drink one glass of lukewarm water, half a lemon, and one pinch of cinnamon powder.

2. At 7.15 am, drink green tea and four almonds.

3. Eat breakfast at 8.30 am with dal, boiled vegetable soup one bowl, and two egg whites.

4. Midmorning snacks at 11 am: Eat fruits (apple, mausambi, orange, guava, or pear).

5. Lunch at 1.30 pm, Eat multigrain atta roti two pieces, vegetable curry, fish or chicken curry 100 gm, or soybean curry.

6. For evening snacks at 5.30 pm, eat a vegetable or chicken stew half bowl or popcorn.

7. For dinner at 9 pm, eat chicken vegetable stew in one bowl (150 gm) and salad one plate (three days in a week).

I advice:

1. Take plenty of vegetables and fruit.

2. Avoid fast foods, sugary products, and chocolate ice cream.

3. Regular exercise is a must (you can do a morning walk for 20 minutes).

4. Monitor your sugar level regularly.

5. Drinks lots of water (eight to ten glasses per day).

6. Do not overeat.

7. Do not take the stress.

8. Use less oil during cooking (try to use rice bran oil).

9. Sleep for at least eight hours.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
