Are transparent thread-like eye floaters dangerous?

Hi doctor,

One day when I was walking in the snow, I noticed transparent gray color thread-shaped things floating on my eye. Especially when I concentrate on them and when it is bright. I have no other symptoms like blurry vision, eye pain or vision loss. They are very annoying and seem to drift when I look at them. Is it dangerous? Please suggest some treatment for this.

Is restricted eye movement in a 10-day-old child concerning?

Hi doctor,

My son is 10 days old. His right eye has never turned towards right. It has looked left, straight, up and down but never right. His left eye has a full range of movement. I have read about squint strabismus. However, I do not read anything about a restricted eye movement. Should I be concerned?

Which medicines can treat dry eyes post-LASIK surgery?

Hello doctor,

About two years ago, I did LASIK surgery to correct my short-sightedness. I recovered from it and have a normal vision now. The trouble note is my eyes get dry soon. And sometimes, when I wake up, I cannot even open my eyes as it is too dry, and I need to keep them closed until it waters, which causes discomfort and pain. Also, I am traveling by bike to the office daily, which causes dryness and ultimately stressful eyes. Is there any medication I can try to get my eyeball lubricated and protect the eyes from dust and irritation?

Why has my son's eye been tearing up since birth?

Hi doctor,

My child is facing the problem of tears in one of his eyes since his birth. He is now nine months old. I have consulted many ophthalmologists, and they all agreed that it would go automatically with daily massage. Though it has reduced now, still it comes. Otherwise, he is in finest health. Please advise.
