Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been trying to lose weight through dieting. But lately, I have been feeling more tired, and I have noticed that my hair seems to be falling out more than usual. I am 27 years old and worried that I might be deficient in some nutrients because of my diet. Is it possible that my dieting could be causing these symptoms? If so, what nutrients should I be focusing on to make sure I am getting enough of them? Kindly suggest a good diet that I can follow without losing the essential and good nutrients required for the body.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Firstly, I would like to know why you want to lose weight and what your present weight and height are. The ideal weight of every person is calculated according to the body mass index ( BMI) of an individual and if you fall into the category of overweight then only you need to lose weight. Next, dieting without the guidance of a dietician is not a good idea to lose weight, as it may cause nutritional deficiency, weakness, and various other problems that can make you prone to infection. So, I suggest you stop dieting and consult a dietician for examination and then think of losing weight. I hope this will help you.
Thank you.
