Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction

Sacroiliac joint dysfunction can cause lower back and leg pain. It is more common in young and pregnant women. It may occur due to increased or decreased mobility of the sacroiliac joint or inflammation of the joint. Symptoms include pain, numbness, weakness, instability of the leg. It can be treated by pain medicines, manually manipulating the joint, supporting the joint with braces, or using sacroiliac joint injections.
