Lower Cross Syndrome

A sedentary lifestyle, sitting for prolonged hours leads to muscle length and strength imbalance, resulting in lower crossed syndrome. In this condition, there is a forward tilt of the pelvis with an increased lower back arch. Such poor posture for extended periods leads to overactive and underactive muscles both in the front and back of the hip. A prolonged state of the over and underactive muscles worsen the condition by causing joint malalignments and decreased range of motion.
