Loss of sensation, also known as hypoesthesia, affects either a part or side of a body. It can be either permanent or temporary based on the cause. It can result from nerve problems like nerve injury, nerve irritation, or a pinched nerve. They are often accompanied by symptoms like tingling sensation and pins and needles sensation. Causes include stroke, Lyme disease, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, etc.
