Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
What problems can an 18-year-old girl have with no health issues after following this diet that was given by a holistic counselor-
Cleansing of liver (optional): Drink 300ml of freshly squeezed apple juice before and after breakfast. Blend two garlic cloves, two lemon juice, a piece of ginger, 3.38 to 6.76 ounces of water, one-fourth teaspoon of turmeric powder, two tablespoons of organic olive oil, and drink it. Drink at least 67.6 ounces of water throughout the day. Foods to eat on the cleanse:
Cruciferous vegetables, dandelion tea, 67.6 ounces of pure water (not tap water), freshly squeezed juices, linseeds, pumpkin or sunflower, and sesame seeds or foods rich in good fats such as oil fish or a mixture of raw and cooked foods in forms of salads, vegetables or brown wild rice or legumes are excellent to help with fiber and to soak up toxins.
Foods to avoid - Alcohol, caffeine or sugar, wheat or dairy, fatty and fried foods, or meat- especially heavy, fatty meats.
Potassium broth: Organic vegetables like potatoes, carrots, beetroot, chopped onion, celery, greens, and garlic. Add herbs like thyme, oregano, or marjoram. Add water to cover the vegetables. Leave in a casserole pot and simmer for an hour. Preferably leave overnight. Strain and drink liquid only.
After liver cleanse: Go back to the original ideas of diet, but keep the potassium broth going and carry on with a mug of freshly squeezed apple juice per day. Can add the snack part of the plan.
Week three and four: Go back to the original plan. It is important to keep with the elimination of sugar (check labels)- no honey, alcohol, dairy (the lactose destroys important parts in the small intestine that are responsible for lactose absorption), wheat, gluten (including shop-bought salad dressings, tomato sauce, or pickles). Avoid jams, marmalades, refined carbs, and no crisps.
Kindly suggest what issue I have.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Given that, there is so much citrus for detox, is this by any chance only a detox diet and not a complete nutrient-rich diet that you are following? Based on your age and medical history alone, we take a call on what kind of foods are best suited to you. Just a detox diet that does not have varied food groups and in a limited period does not produce any results even for detoxification. I would suggest you to state me your purpose of diet, and what you exactly want to achieve - healthy weight, detox or organ cleanse? Based on that, I will suggest you the diet chart as the counselor diet is not going to help you in any way in the long run. You can chat with me here to get a detailed insight and personalized nutrition chart for your immune system. I hope you find this helpful.
Thank you.
