Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 27-year-old female who is 5 feet tall and weighs 139 pounds(lb). I want to begin by working out at a neighboring gym, and my trainer advised me to begin a ketogenic diet as well. Hence, I want to lose weight through exercise. In order to ensure every one of my muscles is engaged and powerful. Is it a good idea to start a ketogenic diet? If so, just what should I do and will it aid in weight loss? Are there any negative effects of this? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

I suggest you need to take high fiber, and low fat followed by a detox diet which is a balanced diet instead of a ketogenic diet.

The ketogenic diet is a high-fat low carbohydrate diet that is not for the long term.

1. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals.

2. Avoid outside food completely.

3. Drink plenty of water every day.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
