Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 50-year-old male. I am a diabetic and hypertensive patient. I am taking medications regularly. Is it good to take a ketogenic diet? I would like to know the advantages and disadvantages of taking a ketogenic diet.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

You need to take high fiber low fat along with adequate proteins instead of the ketogenic diet. The keto diet is a high-fat low carbs diet. The ketogenic diet is not safe for everyone. If you face symptoms of vomiting, nausea, or headaches in the initial weeks of following the keto diet you need to stop it completely as the keto diet is not suitable for everyone. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals. Avoid junk food completely.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
