Should physical exercise or multivitamins be taken first to enhance a weak core and gluteal muscles?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My core side and glute muscles are weak. So doctors suggested me some exercises like plank, side plank, and reverse plank.

After doing exercises, I got a wound near the elbow. For that, I took rest for some days.

After three days, I felt like my legs were weak. Meanwhile, for the past two days, I have been sitting in the sun and feeling somewhat good.

The doctor has prescribed me a Multivitamin capsule (Becadexamin) for 30 days in the morning after meals or night after meals.

Can I do that plank exercise after taking the tablet? At what time is it ideal to do the exercise, morning or evening? And which has to be done first, the activity or the tablet?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

You can continue the plank routine suggested by your doctor.

Along with them, I also suggest the following.

  1. Bridging.
  2. Clamshell.
  3. Step up exercises.

All these exercises can be done before taking food, as after taking food, you may not feel comfortable in exerting pressure on the core.

It is up to you to take tablets. Whatever way you wish to have before or after exercises.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.
