Is extraction needed for shooting tooth pain in teeth?

Hi doctor,

I have got problems with four different teeth. My front tooth is extremely sensitive and painful most of the time. A molar has had a deep filling that was done about a month and a half ago. Still, it hurts, and my dentist said it is nothing to worry. It feels as if shooting pains and sometimes, the pain spreads to my jaw, eyes and nose and I cannot eat on this tooth. Shall I opt for the tooth just to be extracted? It causes a lot of trouble. Also, my back two teeth have one complete filling that covers both teeth. It bleeds and hurts very much if I used in between brushes to clean my teeth, which my dentist advised me to use. I just cannot use that because it is too painful. I experience shooting pains in a lot of my teeth and the deeply filled tooth is the worst. If the tooth were to be extracted, is it possible to get a bridge? What is the longevity of dental bridges? Please refer the photos attached.

What treatment choices do I have for fused front teeth?

Hello doctor,

My front teeth are fused together. Even smiling properly is an ordeal. What treatment choices do I have? Is there anything which is not so invasive like veneers? If extraction turns out to be the only option, will my teeth be removed from the roots? Is anything else possible? I really do not want something as invasive as extraction. Please help.

My teeth are yellow.I am not even smiling because of embarrassment. Please help.

Hello doctor,

I have a large white spot on one of my front teeth. My teeth are yellow and it makes my smile look bad. When I was young, I had used a paste given to me by my dentist. I cannot remember the name of it, but I was supposed to scrub it on my teeth, leave it for five minutes and then spit it out. I no longer have it and it did not make a difference.

I do not know how to get rid of the spot and I do not feel comfortable talking or even smiling because of embarrassment. Please help.

I noticed a clear bubble under my tongue. It is not painful. Is this due to an infected tooth?

Hello doctor,

  • I have had swollen glands for a few months now.
  • I have seen an ENT doctor for the same.
  • He ran a blood test and it came back normal.
  • He told me give it a month and they should go down.
  • They have not gone down or grown.
  • Before going to the ENT doctor, I also visited a dentist and got to know that I have a tooth on each side that is infected.
  • He said that the molar has to be taken out.
  • Today, I noticed a clear bubble under my tongue. It is not painful.

Are these related?

My doctor suggested to remove all 4 wisdom teeth. Is that safe?

Hi doctor,

I have an infection in my lower left wisdom teeth. The doctor drained my operculum and suggested to get all four wisdom teeth removed. I am freaked out, because the lower ones are not completely erupted. I have attached my x-ray. Can you please tell me whether it is safe to do this procedure? Will I get any complication?
