Can antibiotics be prescribed for recurring fever?
Hi doctor,
My son is 15 months old. Three days back, he had a fever of 102 degrees Fahrenheit with wheezing and coughing. Now we are using P250 syrup, ATM, and Ascoril DS along with two times nebulization a day. Yesterday he was good, but again fever has recurred today. Should I start giving Meftal P or Clamp syrup now?
His weight is only 20.94 lbs. Does he look underweight?

Hello doctor,
My 2-year-old son has high fever since last night. I gave 5 ml of 100 mg Nurofen syrup. It helped but did not bring the fever fully down. He had another dose of syrup this morning, for the same issue. He has wet diapers, passed stools, ate a bit but not much, drinks water and is breastfed. He has a bit of cough (wet) and a very runny nose. We did bloodwork. Any thoughts?

My 10 month-old daughter has been sick for five days. She had cough with congestion and flu without fever. The doctor has given her Ciprofloxacin for five days. From today, she has a fever as I checked from her armpit. Kindly tell me what should I do? I have given her Paracetamol also. It works for the hour. After that, the fever comes again.
