What causes blurry vision despite wearing new glasses?

Hi doctor,

I recently had an eye exam and was able to see clearly by the time the doctor was done with my exam. I ordered the glasses and they just arrived yesterday. I out them on and it is as if I am not wearing glasses because with the glasses or without the glasses everything is blurry. I told them that and was told I have to wait for seven days for my eyes to adjust. How do I do that when I cannot read without straining my eyes either way?

Can an accidental entry of metal shavings cause dry eyes?

Hello doctor,

I had an injury to my eyes seven months back. I got metal shavings in both and had to remove and left scars on my retina. Since then everything is blurry and went to the eye doctor last month. My prescription has not changed. They say I have dry eye and starting of cataracts. Can the injury be a result of those things? I did not have a problem before.

Does increased eye pressure result in glaucoma?

Hello doctor,

I have a few questions about glaucoma. I recently had my yearly eye check-up, and my doctor told me that my eye pressure is slightly above average. I know that having a high eye pressure can cause glaucoma, and it leads to permanent blindness. I do not have any pain in the eye, and also there is no family history of glaucoma. So my question is, how do I know if I have glaucoma, and what are the chances of actually getting diagnosed with glaucoma? Is there any home treatments I can do to reduce my chances of getting glaucoma? Any eye drops I can use or any pills or vitamins I can take? My doctor said that just because my eye pressure is slightly above average, it does not mean I have glaucoma. My doctor also said there is nothing to worry about, but I need a second opinion.
