Stiff Shin Muscle

Stiff shin muscles are shin splints as a result of heavy exercise, overloading leg muscles, sports, or any repeated activity. These activities can cause pain and inflammation of muscles and tendons. An easy and quick shin stretch exercise is walking on the heels for some time before exercising. This is followed by walking on the toes. This stretches the shin and calves making them flexible and ready for movement.
