Rotator Cuff Injury

A rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons surrounding the shoulder joint keeping the upper arm bone firmly within the shoulder socket. A rotator cuff injury can cause dull shoulder pains, which worsen movement. It may occur as a result of injury, heavy lifting, or due to aging. A patient may also have disturbed sleep, difficulty combing hair, and arm weakness. Performing shoulder strengthening exercises daily for the back and front shoulder muscles, front chest muscles can prevent the injury.
