Psychosis

Psychosis is a psychic disorder in which there is a loss of touch to reality and affects the brain's information processing. It is also associated with the occurence of hallucination or delusion. However, it is not the disease itself and is an underlying sign of a psychotic disorder like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. A psychotic episode is manifested by audio, visual and tactile hallucinations, and delusions.
