What are the tips on reducing oil and making healthier meals?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My father cooks regularly. He adds a lot of oil to cooking. He does a variety of food. My mother lost weight, but because of his food, he is not able to reduce weight. I think he needs a healthy diet to help with weight loss. We want to know more about nutrition and how it affects weight. How to make his cooking more sustainable and still taste good? Any tips on reducing oil and making healthier meals? Also, could you suggest dishes or ingredients that my 62-year-old mother can have cooked to support her weight loss efforts?

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

You may be on a weight loss plateau if you have stopped losing weight despite following the same plan. You may also notice symptoms like feeling generally unwell or fatigued, not feeling hungry, or that you are burning fewer calories from the same exercises. You may be on a weight loss plateau if you have stopped losing weight despite following the same plan. You may also notice symptoms like feeling generally unwell or fatigued, not feeling hungry, or that you are burning fewer calories from the same exercises. Simple ways to break through a weight loss plateau are:

  1. Cut carbs.
  2. Exercise more.
  3. Track your foods.
  4. Eat protein.
  5. Manage stress.
  6. Try fasting.
  7. Avoid alcohol.
  8. Increase fiber.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
