Growth Hormone

Growth hormone is also called somatotrophin. It is referred to as a peptide hormone that is responsible for cell reproduction and cell regeneration. It stimulates growth and helps in human development. It works by stimulating the pituitary gland to produce and release growth hormone in the bloodstream. In addition, it initiates the production of insulin-like growth factors in the liver and other organs. So it acts on the tissues of the body to control metabolism and growth.
