Carpal Fracture

Carpal fracture is the fracture of the carpal bones of the wrist. It is present as severe pain that worsens on gripping, squeezing, or hand and wrist movement. It is also accompanied by swelling, tenderness, bruising, and a wrist deformity. It is more common in athletes and bone thinning disorders like osteoporosis. Using protective gear by the athletes and strengthening the bone with oral calcium and vitamin D supplements can prevent carpal fracture.
