Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 27 year old female. I am a fitness enthusiast and on a very disciplined and healthy diet and exercise schedule. Yet, I suffer from bloating, gas, and constipation. I have tried everything, including digestive enzymes, probiotics, and green leafy vegetables. But the problem is intact. I am on a lactose and gluten-free diet currently.
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
If you are very health conscious, then you should also be following a proper rest routine. Following are a few suggestions to follow:
Have your meal regularly on time. Breakfast should be between 8 AM to 9 AM. Lunch should be from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Snacks at 6:30 PM. Dinner should be taken two hours before going to bed.
Drink plenty of water every day. Have coconut water thrice weekly, which is rich in sodium and potassium. It also helps in digestion.
Avoid spicy foods even at home. Get enough sleep at night, at least eight to nine hours, for better digestion.
Take small meals. Do not fill up your stomach completely with food. Avoid food items that might cause infection or irritation, like prawns, milk, brinjals, etc.
Do Surya Namaskar regularly for a healthy bowel and bladder.
Have more fiber-rich foods for constipation.
Rest is the ultimate solution for all problems.
Avoid strenuous activities at work and home.
I hope this helps you.
Revert in case of queries.
Regards.
