Is it possible to get bald spots with Doxycycline?
Hello doctor,
I was taking Doxycycline for three months. After I got a haircut in the third month, I noticed that I had two bald patches (it is not actually bald, they were just super thin with a little bit of hair). I got a haircut again today, and the same problem occurred. I am almost positive that the problem is alopecia areata, and I also have the symptom of nail dystrophy (it appeared around two weeks ago). Do you think Doxycycline caused this issue? How can AA be treated, and how long should I expect my bald spots to have normal thickness again?

What causes pricking sensation without itching in genitals?
Hello doctor,
I am having a pricking sensation (worsens if I am walking) in my genitals, and very infrequently in my armpits. No itching, only either pricky feeling or like a cut when touched. The dermatologist could not see any infection but another doctor told that it is Fordyce. This has been for the past 18 months. Now it has been reduced significantly for the past 7 to 15 days. The antifungal powder and cream I was using provide only temporary relief.

How to manage hair loss on temples from tight braids?
Hi doctor,
I have hair loss on my temples from wearing tight braids. The hair loss has been there for about 10 years and it has not gotten worse or anything. Is there a treatment or prescription I can try before going the hair transplant route? I am on Nuva ring for birth control. I tried Rogaine for four months but stopped for no real reason. I just did not see any results. I do not have any lab tests for this issue.
