Why do I have lower body pain with stiffness, tiredness, and weakness for more than three months?

Hi doctor,

I am having pain in my back leg muscle, shoulder, upper back, wrists, lower back, jaw, and left foot. It started from the legs and gradually radiated to other parts. I am having this condition for more than three months now, and it has never stopped since it started. I consulted a doctor, and after taking a blood test, he referred me to a rheumatologist. It has been a month already, but I could not get an appointment.

In the morning, my body is very stiff, and I can move only after taking painkillers. If I do not take it, I can barely move. I also have constant weakness and tiredness.

Kindly help.

Does vasculitis increase the risk of COVID-19?

Hi doctor,

I am a 53-year-old female, and I was diagnosed with lupus more than 15 years ago. It was considered mild, with the main problems being light sensitivity, fatigue, muscle aches, and occasional mouth ulcers. I was tested positive for ANA and was negative for all other autoantibodies, and there was no organ involvement other than skin. I took Hydroxychloroquine for around five years and improved to the point of being independent of medicines.

Recently, I read my previous blood reports, and I am worried as I do not understand them. Does the report say I have vasculitis? If yes, does it increase my COVID risk?

Kindly help.

When can a patient suffering from dermatomyositis expect their CPK levels to become normal?

Hello doctor,

My daughter has been suffering from dermatomyositis for one year, which was identified with the help of a blood test and creatinine phosphokinase test. The treatment started, and she was examined after a month, and this time her creatinine phosphokinase (CPK) level was 10413 units per liter. After that, my daughter was shifted to another hospital and was given 160 grams of intravenous immune globulin (IVIG). Her weight is 80 kgs. After a month of IVIG, the doctor prescribed the tablet Wysolone 60 mg, tablet Shelcal HD, and tablet Pantop 40 mg. After a month, they prescribed a tablet Azathioprine 50 mg and asked her to take one tablet in the morning and at night. Her current CPK level is 432 units per liter. She is taking tablets Wysolone 12.5 mg, Azathioprine 50 mg, Pantop 40 mg, and Shellcal HD. Please guide about CPK Levels and remission.

What is the reason for positive antinuclear antibodies as I am diagnosed with mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) and Hashimoto's disease?

Hello doctor,

I just received blood tests showing positive ANA tests and my doctor recommended for a rheumatologist look at my tests. The rheumatologists in my area have wait lists for six months. I was suffering from chronic fatigue, joint and nerve pain, a growing sensitivity to most foods, sensitivity to sunlight, inability to lose weight, chronic anemia, anxiety, and insomnia. The condition is progressively gotten worse for almost three years. I am diagnosed with mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) and Hashimoto's disease. Currently, I am taking Levoxyl, Zolpidem, and Alprazolam. I have attached my complete blood count, thyroid, and immunology panel report.

What are the complications of post COVID infection?

Hello,

I suffered from COVID-19. Two weeks later, I suffered tingling and numbness in my feet, pain in my legs, and general malaise. This was continued for another two to three weeks with pain in the buttocks while sitting and hip pain at night. I had an MRI of the SI joint, which showed some inflammation on the left side. Hlab 27 test was negative, and CRP is 7. The doctor thinks it is either AS or a post-COVID arthritis type condition. Last few weeks, I have had pain in both knees which is quite bad. I am 63 years old with a previous history of knee OA, which required one surgery but was fine until a few weeks ago. Feeling pretty low and concerned, I had slightly similar symptoms after a terrible reaction to a modern vaccine 16 months ago, but that abated. It seems to be a strong link with spike protein. Can you give me your thoughts?
