Patient's Query
Hi,
I am a 29-year-old female, married for four years, and I recently gave birth to my beautiful daughter (four months back). I am really happy with my life, but due to pregnancy, I have gained almost 7 kg of weight. In order to lose my postpartum weight, I have been thinking of indulging in light-intensity activities like yoga or walking. Is it safe for me to start now, or should I wait for some more time?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
If you had a normal vaginal delivery, you could start the exercises as soon as you feel ready.
But with cesarean section delivery, the exercises must be delayed.
Light exercises like yoga and walking are fine to go now, and I suggest you should do core strengthening, back strengthening, and pelvic floor exercises.
Thank you.
