Why did my weight decrease after discontinuing the gym?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 23 years old. Two months back, I joined a gym and I gained about 110 to 132 pounds but when I stopped going to the gym, my weight started reducing gradually. Now, I weigh 108 pounds. Each time I stop going to the gym, there is a weight loss. Why? Kindly suggest a protein powder to help me gain weight.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

We are elated to have you onboard at icliniq.

You need to eat a high-protein diet. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals. I suggest you take the protein powder (Nutrilite). Take one scoop with one glass of milk every day.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
