Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My friend has been suffering from uveitis for the last 16 years. He has blurred vision for the past two years. He is sensitive to light and cannot see in the dark. He can make out the faces, but he cannot see properly. Even for reading on mobile, he has to use the magnifying option to see the words. He had consulted an eye specialist as he had redness and inflammation. The doctor gave him steroids, but his situation did not improve. He had taken a few Siddha medicines, but the problem persists. Though his inflammation reduced, he had blurred vision after he worked on the laptop. He is taking turmeric, Triphala, and other healthy foods. He is not taking any medicines. He has latent tuberculosis. Can you suggest something for his problem related to blurred vision?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As you said, it is an autoimmune disorder, and the symptoms will worsen yearly. You should consult a nearby doctor (preferably the same doctor you consulted earlier) again and take immunomodulator drugs (herbals and gold-based drugs) that can stop or delay the aggressiveness of the condition. I suggest you ask him to continue taking the medications for symptomatic management. I would suggest Thanga Paprpam (Thangapodi, Shuddha Swarna, and elemental gold 100 %) 30 mg with honey, after food, two times a day. This can be continued for two months. Muthu Parpam (Thulai idapadatha, Muthu Kaparda, and Pinetada margarittifera 100 %) 100 mg with cow ghee, before food, three times a day. This can be continued for three months. (consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medicines with their consent).

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
