Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I get red rashes on my body like pimples but they disappear after taking the tablet Cetirizine. I have consulted many doctors and some said that it was urticaria or some fungal disease. I am in dilemma.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. It seems to be hives rather than a fungal infection. For that, I have prescribed the antihistaminic drug tablet Bepotastine. It has a good effect on urticaria. If an antihistaminic drug cannot control hives then an oral steroid can be prescribed. The underlying cause for hives should be searched for like any food allergy, insect bite, or allergy to any detergent. I hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. You can consult a dermatologist nearby for examination and get your prescription. Best regards.
