Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 31-year-old male. Recently, I have been pushing myself at the gymnasium, engaging in weightlifting and strength training. However, something does not feel quite right. I have been experiencing persistent pain in my joints and muscles, and am concerned that I might be causing more harm than good. Am I compromising my health? Could you please assist me in understanding what might be going wrong and how I can approach weightlifting and strength training without exacerbating the issue?
Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
Follow the below instructions:
Firstly, you should perform exercises under the supervision of a coach, ensuring you remain hydrated and avoid lifting weights beyond your capability.
Pushing yourself to your limits when lifting weights may result in muscle or ligament tears or muscle spasms.
Maintain a proper rhythm while exercising, and monitor your calcium and vitamin levels. If deficiencies are found, consult a nutritionist or your coach for appropriate supplementation. Sometimes, pains after exercising may occur due to deficiencies in calcium and vitamin B12.
I hope this information will help you.
Thank you.
