Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please tell me which surgery you have undergone. How old are you? All your past medical history and any medicines you are taking? Have you had any laboratory tests? Kindly answer the above questions for proper guidance.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My mother, who is 52 years old, had uterus removal surgery which happened two months ago. She has no medical history apart from this. The medicines which she is consuming are Premarin 3 mg, and previously she was taking Vertigon, which finished two days back. All laboratory test has been done, like blood test, blood sugar test, and cancer test. All these tests were done at the time of the surgery. Kindly suggest what to do.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have seen hemoglobin before surgery; it was normal but a little bit at lower margins. If she lost too much blood in the surgery and does not eat well nowadays, hemoglobin will be lower. Hence, I need recent complete blood count test results. Secondly, Premarin (estrogen) is estrogen replacement therapy. It can cause nausea, vomiting, headache, stomach pain, colics, breast tenderness, and swelling. Please check her blood pressure every three successive days and inform me so we can know the reason for the increased heart rate. I suggest you consult a specialist and take the following medications with their consent.

1) Stugeron (Cinnarizine) tablets twice a day.

2) Centrum (Vitamin A, D, E, B6, Pantothenic, and zinc) capsule once a day after breakfast.

3) Diclofenac 100 mg once a day.

Let her take this prescription, and she will get better. Share the results of the below-mentioned test for further guidance.

1) CBC (complete blood test).

2) Blood pressure.

3) Heart rate per minute.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Her diet has been good since her surgery. She has two apples, one pomegranate, and two glasses of milk in a day. She also includes nuts in her diet. On top of that, her regular diet is also good. I will definitely take her for the tests mentioned by you, but still, please let me know what you would like to add or subtract anything in her diet. Please also clarify whether the medicines suggested by you would be fine to take with her regular medicine, which is Premarin 0.3 mg. Please mention the name of the medicines once again with quantity and dosage and how long will she need to take this medicine.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I want her to drink pomegranate juice as much as she can. You can consult a specialist and take the medicines prescribed with their consent.

I will mention the dosage again for clarity.

1) Stugeron (Cinnarizine) 25 mg tablet once a day for a week.

2) Vitamin B complex injection every three days for two weeks.

3) Centrum (Vitamin A, D, E, B6, Zinc, and Pantothenic) multivitamin capsule for one month taken once a day before breakfast.

Take care.
