Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

My height is five feet six inches and my body weight is 160 lbs.

I have a sitting job and very less physical activity. My meal pattern is as follows

  1. In the morning I drink one glass of lemon water (empty stomach), five to ten almonds, one apple, and one cup of coffee.
  2. For breakfast, I eat two roti (flat bread), salad (one bowl), mixed vegetables (one bowl), and green leaves (one bowl).
  3. At 10.30 am one cup of coffee and one apple.
  4. At 12.30 pm digestive biscuits and five to ten-piece almonds
  5. For lunch, at 2.00 pm I eat two roti, mixed veg curry, salads, and green leaves.
  6. At 4.30 pm one cup of coffee, sprouted green gram, and chana (chickpea).
  7. At 6.30 pm coffee, biscuits, and apple.
  8. At 8.30 pm for dinner I eat three roti (flat bread), vegetable curry, salad, raw garlic five pieces, and one cup of milk.

Since the detection of diabetes, I have not taken any non-veg foods for the last four months.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You need to lose 11 to 13 lbs of weight. Do not mix coffee and fruits and take 20 minutes of the gap between them. You can use mix dry fruit instead of almond only. Minimize coffee to at least two cups only. Drink eight to nine glasses of water daily. 45 minutes of walking is a must. You should use 2 tablespoons of methi (fenugreek) sprouts daily. You will see better results in the next reports. Overall meal pattern is good.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your answer.

Can I take non-veg once a week?

Can I take any milk products like paneer or curd?

Please suggest any supplements that can be taken.

Thank you.

Answered by Durga Kumari

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, you can take it twice a week either nonveg or paneer. You can eat curd daily. Take roasted flaxseed powder mixed with warm milk and drink. Flaxseed will be helpful to increase good cholesterol. Garlic is good but only two to three. You can take D -protein two tablespoons twice daily as a supplement.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

Can I take a flax oil tablet?

In non-veg (fish, mutton, or chicken) what I should eat?

Thank you.

Answered by Durga Kumari

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Egg white, chicken, and fish can be taken. Flaxseed is better than tablets.

Thank you.
