Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 23-year-old male with 77kg weight and 178 m height. I have a high CPK whenever I make a physical effort. I learned about it three years ago when I used to work out in the gym. I felt pain in my muscle, and I need more sleep. Suddenly I stopped working out because of the high CPK (enzyme phosphokinase). Now, I want to go back to the gym. What should I do? Can I do cardio exercise or muscle exercise or do both? Kindly suggest.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern about the rise in CPK (creatine phosphokinase). No need to worry about this. Your complaint is fatigue and strain during physical effort, but your age and weight do not affect your heart. So, I would suggest you continue aerobics exercises, do not go to the gym, rather go for swimming, running, and jogging activities. That will be more helpful. Do food changes, like taking more garlic preparation, which will lower CPK. CPK rise does not mean your heart is weak but indicates heart injury. So do not worry, carry on all your activities without any tension.
Thank you.
