Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My daughter is 4 years old, she does not let me work and cries and behaves arrogantly. How to deal with this?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

Childhood is the most difficult and vulnerable phase of human life. Parents often are preoccupied and concerned about the normalcy and deviation of the child and are often worried about changes in their behavior. Nowadays when we have only 1 or 2 children, mothers are under persistent stress. Your kid had stopped taking interest in classes and often cries when she is forced to attend them. The two most common reasons for such behavior are if the child is being ill-treated or abused by teachers or if the child has developed an insight that throwing tantrums can save her from participating in the activities that she thinks require sustained effort and hard work. I suggest you to ask your kid calmly what she likes and dislikes in school and classes. Which one of the teachers she likes the most and which one she fears the most? What are the things that have changed for bad in her school? At the same time you need to tell her about her responsibilities as a kid student and what is expected from her.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
