I have restricted movement with muscle loss. How to manage?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your concern. In my opinion, you need further investigation to rule out hip pathology and blood work to ascertain vitamin D3 values and inflammatory markers. My wrists crack and make crunching sounds. What is the cause?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I would like to have more details on the pain in the wrist and have you ever had any fall recently. The cracking sound is due to an imbalance of musculature resulting in bone on bone rubbing and pain could be (depends on the underlying pathology) from cartilage erosion to TFL (tensor fasciae latae) tear. I would like to know the place of pain and till what level is the pain getting radiated. Definitely, pain is not normal and may need an investigation to rule out the underlying reason.

What could be causing sharp pain while doing center splits?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. There are many factors, other than tight inner thigh muscles that limit the split, especially the center split. Bony restriction in the hip joint, as the hip joint bone gets jammed into the socket because of extreme coxa vara angle (angulation between the neck and shaft of the thigh bone) leading to restrictions in movement. These jams will not happen when you do a side split as there is slight rotation occurring in the joint which allows the action to happen. Another reason could be ligamentous (pubofemoral ligament) limitation as the ligament tightens and it limits further movement.

My left shin is suddenly numb to the touch. What is going on?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. In my opinion, the numbness in your shin could be due to mild swelling over there. These kinds of swelling can be caused due to excessive loading or due to prolonged stress imposed over the bone like playing some sport without warming up and cooling down or a sudden increase in activity. I would advise you to apply ice over the shin area and move your ankle up and down. Keep your leg slightly raised when you sleep.

I have a heavy neck and lifting head when lying is difficult. Please advise.

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. In my opinion, with the limited narration that you have provided to me in your query, I feel you have less stability in your core muscles. You should maintain posture while driving which can be achieved by placing a pillow behind your low back (in case you drive the car) or staying erect in case of a two-wheeler. A couple of back strengthening and core stability glute stability exercises will help you fix your back. Kindly provide me with additional details of your problem like how the pain started, what movements are limited, what aggravates the pain, what relieves it, etc.
