Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My left shin is numb to the touch and it has been like this for about a week and I do not know what is going on.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

In my opinion, the numbness in your shin could be due to mild swelling over there. These kinds of swelling can be caused due to excessive loading or due to prolonged stress imposed over the bone like playing some sport without warming up and cooling down or a sudden increase in activity.

  1. I would advise you to apply ice over the shin area and move your ankle up and down.
  2. Keep your leg slightly raised when you sleep.
  3. Do a couple of calf stretches.

Kindly revert to me and let me know how you feel doing these things after two days.
