What is the treatment for a 0.2 inch kidney stone?

Hi doctor,

Today I had a back pain and went to a doctor and they said it could be due to a kidney stone. I have done my CT scan and confirmed that I have a 0.2 inch kidney stone at left VUJ. Please check the attached report and let me know whether this can be treated with medicine or is surgery the only option. Please check the report and let me know all available options. As of now, I am not having any pain.

What causes pain in testicles and intermittent stomach pain?

Hello doctor,

I am a 48 year old. I was never sick, I never go to a doctor. I do not take medications. I have worked out for 30 years five times a week. Nothing real heavy these days (treadmill three times a week - fast walking). Symptoms started about a month ago with intermittent dull stomach pain and mostly on the left side. It progressed to dull testicle pain - again mostly on the left side. It is usually not stomach and testicle at the same time. There are no noticeable lumps in the testicles - both feel the same to me, but the pain is more on the upper top of the testicle from what I can tell. I believe there are some tubes or cords there naturally and to me, it feels like the left side does feel more cordy (for lack of a better word). I have occasional groin tightness.

Symptoms I do not have:Any masses or lumps. No tiredness/fatigue.No bulges anywhere so I do not think it can be a hernia (I do not remember feeling anything). No pain urinating and no blood in urine or feces. No lower back pain but an occasional stab in my mid back (probably referred pain?). My main symptom these days is the dull testicle pain on the left side upper top. Sometimes, I do not have any symptoms at all and almost never when I am working out. But for a month now, I know it is there and it is annoying and the last two days, I feel like the dull pain is slightly greater at times in the left testicle. Again, I am not one to run to the doctor. Anything, I have ever had has gone away if I gave it time. The pain/discomfort is not that great but it has been at least a month. After doing a tonne of research on the internet, I have seen so many conditions where my symptoms fit but none that pinpoint just a few symptoms I mentioned. Sorry for the long winded query but what are your initial thoughts? And do you have any follow up questions for me? Thanks.

Can blood in urine be caused by urinary tract infection?

Hi doctor,

This deals with my mother, who has a history of chronic E. coli bladder infections. She has been on preventative antibiotics and topical estrogen. Recently, she was eight months UTI free with being on 2000 mg mannose sugar daily. Her eGFR was 65 around six months ago. I reduced the sugar to 1500 mg. About a week ago, she developed some UTI symptoms. Historically, she would get incontinence, urgency, and a distinctive radiating pain shooting up her torso when she peed. However, this week, she had only the symptom lightly once in two days in a row. Otherwise, she had no other symptoms. I have attached the urine sample report. I also have urinalysis strips.

On the day of the laboratory sample, the strip was positive for nitrites but nothing for RBCs or leukocytes. We increased her mannose to 3 g for two days and then 2 g for three days. Then, the dipstick test showed leukocytes, nitrites, and RBCs 200. Today, two tests showed traces or negative nitrites (3 hours of bladder retention). However, the RBCs are still high at 200, and the urine sample showed a pink tinge. I have been given approval by a urologist to give my mother, Fosfomycin. My mother's E. coli in the past have shown resistance to Bactrim, Amoxicillin, Ampicillin, etc. She has no symptoms at this point other than being more tired, and she is 90. Someone told me if nitrites are getting less, she might be able to get over this incident without a formal antibiotic. She does take 15 mg of Xarelto daily. It was ceased last night but taken again today. Is Xarelto playing a factor here? She also used to take estrogen cream more regularly, but now once a week if she remembers it. She had spot bleeding on her underwear a few months ago, around once or twice, and an ultrasound showed nothing. She has an ovarian cyst. She drinks 0.2 to 0.3 Gallons of water daily. We are just trying to gauge the significance of the blood in the urine. She has no specific urinary symptoms but is more sleepy overall.

Thank you.

Can rashes on the penis be indicative of penile cancer?

Hi doctor,

For the second time I have suffered a rash on the glans of my penis in this year. This time the rash was more intense in color. There has never been any itching or pain associated with this rash. But, just a scary looking color. I was tested for all STD and STI infections before a month and it was negative for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HPV, etc. This was completed by full blood test and urine sample. I am 36 years old and married. My sexual partner has been the same for the last 10 years. I do have a tight foreskin, which cannot be retracted the whole way over the head of my penis, but can come back about 75% of the way. Over the past three weeks, the rash has subsided and the redness is slowly going away. I have used Hydrocortisone 1% for two days and Canesten cream for two days. I also have Trimovate cream, which was prescribed to me for the first occurrence of this rash earlier this year.My main concern is penile cancer, although rare from what I have read, it worries me that this could be a tumor of some sort. Or is this a case of balanitis? The other concern I have is the white markings on my penis, which have developed over the past one month. My personal hygiene is excellent. I do not use soaps on my penis glans and just warm water twice a day. I have attached some images of the rash. I would appreciate any advice.

How to treat decreased semen volume after Consistam D?

Hello doctor,

I am a 46-year-old male. I was diagnosed with prostatomegaly (enlarged prostate, 0.8 ounce) with significant post void urine volume (86 ml). The doctor prescribed Consistam D once daily. After taking for 40 days, the urge to urination reduced but semen volume and pleasure in sex drastically reduced. Please suggest any remedial measures.
