Why could the premolars hurt following braces treatment?

Hi doctor,

It has been five weeks since I got my braces on. During the second week, one of my premolar on my lower left jaw started to hurt in the morning. I cannot bite down as it hurts. It was loose, and it made some popping sensation when I press it or bite. I went in for an emergency and hoping my orthodontist would do an x-ray. But, all she did was look at it and touch it. She said it is normal. It has now been three weeks, it is still loose and make that popping sensation. I am starting to worried and very paranoid. Should I be concerned?

Are upper and lower left wisdom teeth linked for extraction?

Hi doctor,

I am a 30-year-old male. I had cheek biting on the left side, and I removed my left upper wisdom tooth before three months. I have a white line and patch adjacent to the lower left wisdom tooth. I also have some white dots over the cheek. I had some sensitivity issue in the left lower wisdom tooth, and I consulted an endodontist.

The sharpness of the cusp was reduced, and GIC filling was done for the mild decay. Now, I am eating only on the right side of the tooth. I have a fear of damaging the filling, and so I am eating food on the right side. Now, I do not have pain, but, occasional sensitivity issues. I am advised to have braces after two months. I have an impacted lower left first premolar to erupt. Should I need to conserve the left lower wisdom tooth or can I extract it? I am attaching the images and X-rays. Please give your advice.

I am not comfortable with my retainers after getting veneers. What to do?

Hello doctor,

I am a 25 year old male who had braces five years back. I had braces for two and a half years for upper teeth only, and I still wear my retainer every night. I recently got veneers on my upper six front teeth, so my dentist had to make a couple of adjustments to my retainer. For about two months the retainer was good, but recently in the morning when I take my retainer out, one or two of my veneers seem to move and when I bite they click back into place. I went to my dentist, but he assured me that everything is fine. He also said that if it bothers me so much, then I should see my orthodontist about getting a new retainer. As an experiment, I wore my retainer for about a week (day and night) and throughout that time, I did not have any movement issues. Then when I switched back to only night-time wear, it started happening in the mornings again. I am worried that my teeth are being damaged and that they are going to fall out randomly one morning. Do you think I need a new retainer? I have an appointment with my orthodontist in a month. So, I also wanted to know, do I require wearing my retainer until my appointment? And if yes, then how often?
