Dr. Manish Bajpayee is a Psychiatrist who graduated from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College in 1989. He obtained MD in Psychiatry from the same institute in 1996. He has 34 years of experience as a psychiatrist, out of which 16 years he has spent in the teaching line as a professor, associate professor, and head of the department. He was associated with prestigious institutions, namely MUHS, WBHU, AFMC, MIMER, etc. He has worked in combat locations with the Indian army. He aims to lead a psychiatric consultant clinic in a tertiary care hospital (or one affiliated with a hospital) with all treatment modalities and partake in research in the neuroscience of major psychiatric illnesses.

He has done research studies in the effect of electroconvulsive therapy on plasma noradrenaline, adrenaline, and dopamine in depressed patients, psychiatric aspects of hysterectomy, psychopathology among school-going adolescents in a district, the nature of adolescent crises over a year presenting to the casualty of a tertiary care hospital, the Urmila syndrome- A study of families of combat soldiers, psychopathology as well as coping mechanisms utilized during separation, personality disorder, and frontal lobe deficiencies as cause for relapse in treated alcohol dependence syndrome, anxiety, and depression as prognostic indicators in irritable bowel syndrome, sub-syndromal P.T.S.D.- Is it a clinically valid entity? He also has done certificate courses in psychosexual medicine, neurocognitive assessment of children, psychosocial aspects of AIDS, and deaddiction psychiatry.
