Why is my urinary infection pain decreasing gradually?
Hello doctor,
I am 35 years old. I have the symptoms of a urine infection. But five days after the beginning of the symptoms, I got a urine test, and no bacterial infection or STD were detected. I did an HIV test, which was also negative. The pain is reducing slowly, but I am still not back 100 %. I have no sex envy. What could this be? Could this be a chemical infection or allergy from using hydroalcoholic solution wipes or shampoo on the penis? Could this be a prostate issue?

Which investigation will help to rule out cancer?
Hello doctor,
I am a 65-year-old with a very enlarged prostate (approx 100 ccs). I had periodic hematuria. PSA has vacillated between 2.7 and 5. Blind biopsy negative. I had two prostate MRI six months apart, one designated pirad 1 and the second pirad 2. I am on flow max and Finasteride. Based on MRI and favorable PSA density, my urologist thinks the likelihood of me having significant prostate cancer is low. How likely is it that the MRI could have missed significant cancer?

Is it safe to use Finasteride four weeks before TURP?
Hello doctor,
I will be having prostate TURP surgery in five weeks. My Urologist has recommended daily Finasteride four weeks before to reduce bleeding during the surgery then stop. I am worried that Finasteride has been linked to prostate cancer. Is this true? Is there an alternative medication to reduce blood loss? I know the Finasteride is just for four weeks, but I am still concerned. Is there any research on short term use?

What causes a white patch with skin tightness on the penis?
Hello doctor,
I used to masturbate regularly, and I do not care much for hygiene (I wore the same used underwears, cleaned my penis once in a while, etc.). Now from the last two months, I am unable to retract. The foreskin seems to have become tight and not allowing me to even pull it back a little. There is a kind of white patch formed at the tip of my penis as well. That is concerning. Could you please let me know what might be the issue?
