What could be the reason for the red mark on the uvula along with swallowing difficulty?

Hello doctor,

I have a red mark on my uvula that I am a little worried about. Could you possibly tell me what it could be, please? I have had the feeling of swallowing a lump for two weeks, but it seems to be going away now.

Can symptoms of pollen allergy cause a ringing sound in the ear?

Hello doctor,

I am a 27-year-old female. I have symptoms of watery eyes, running nose, and sneezing a lot due to pollen allergy. Last year, the symptoms lasted for a few days but subsided on taking the tablet Omnaris and tablet Citirizine as prescribed by the physician. Currently, I am taking the tablet Allegra, to control the symptoms. But to the strange, I can hear a continuous ringing sound in my left ear for the last 12 hours due to which I am not able to hear the outside noises as clearly as my right ear. Is the ringing sound normal or is it due to pollen allergy? Please help. Thank you very much.

What are the complications of earwax blockage?

Hi doctor,

I went swimming a few days back, and I have lost complete hearing in my right ear. I believe there is water stuck in it. I noticed it straight after getting out of the water. I can only hear a little. I tried blowing while holding my nose and tried ear drops suggested by the pharmacy. I thought it would go away after a few days, but it has not. However, I am going on holiday tomorrow for a week. So I am worried about what is happening to my ear. And whether it will cause issues on the plane with the air pressure. Please advise.

How long should I wait, and what should I do to heal the perforation in my eardrum?

Hello doctor,

I was not able to hear properly. So I consulted an E.N.T specialist who said I have a 15 % hole in my eardrum. I said I felt that I had muffled hearing and a fullness feeling in my left ear after scuba diving. So I asked how long would it take to heal, and the doctor said it depends, but it should heal in a couple of months, like within six months. How long does a 15 % perforated eardrum heal? What should I do while waiting for it to heal? What should I expect to feel while it heals? Kindly help.
