I had recurrent pain in my penis with blisters and itching. What is the cause?

Hi doctor,

I got blisters, itching, and pain in my penis seven months back. It recurred again and again for almost 12 months. So my doctor did herpes simplex (HSV) IgG and IgM tests. All my results came negative. But he gave me Acyclovir 400. What does it mean? Do I suffer from genital herpes?

Does a CMIA test 100 days post-unprotected sex confirm HIV?

Hello doctor,

I had unprotected sex with a sex worker five months back. After that every month I have taken CMIA fourth generation test. After almost 100 days, I took WB test. Then today I took again CMIA test. It is all negative but every month the index values are getting increased from 0.10 to now 0.24. since today it is 110 days over after post exposure. Now I did not do any sexual activity to date. So please confirm me whether I need to wait for six months or it is conclusive of HIV negative? Nowadays I am getting headaches and dry lips. I have also had sinusitis issue.

Can HIV develop due to used needle?

Hello doctor,

Five days ago, I went to a private hospital because of a cyst. The nurse at the hospital asked me to take a blood sugar test. She and I have had misunderstandings in the past, and I am worried if she used a used needle to collect my sample. I am sure that the syringe was new, but I am unsure about the needle. A friend of mine said that it is not possible because if it is a used needle you can not draw the blood. However, after drawing my blood, the needle hub was blocked. I was the first patient at the blood collection center that day, but I am scared that I might have contracted HIV if it was a used needle. My question is, how long does HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) survive in a used needle? Can you please help me?

Does fingering increase the risk of STI?

Hi doctor,

I had been to a spa for a body massage a week back. I was fingering the female massage therapist during the massage, and she also cummed on my fingers. I am unsure if I touched my penis with the cum, and there were no cuts on my fingers. However, I am worried about getting infected by HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and other STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) infections now. Please advise if this activity is high risk for HIV and other STD infections.
