How can blood lost due to anal fissure be managed?

Hi doctor,

I am 17 years old. A few days back, I had hard stools and it resulted in causing anal fissure. My anal area became swollen and I started to have extreme sharp pain with every bowel movement. After two days, I waked up with a feeling of less pain and I was confident that my fissure has got healed. When I went to use my toilet, I started to have sharp pain and everything went well until I look down. I saw a lot of blood. The water was red with splashes of blood around it. Every time, when I tried to push out, a large drop of blood fallen out in the water and I got scared. On the second day, I went to the toilet three times and everything went well. After that, when I pushed a little, I started to have a lot of blood. I really need medical advice. I am concerned about the blood lost every time while using the toilet.

Why incisional hernia fixed a month ago, now draining pus?

Hello doctor,

I have had seven abdominal surgeries, namely gastric bypass, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, exploratory laparoscopy, panniculectomy, ventral hernia repair, mesh removal from hernia repair with exploratory laparoscopy, and recently open epigastric incisional hernia fix a month back. Immediately upon opening my eyes after surgery, I knew something was different, I had extreme pain, more pain than I have ever had with any surgery. Within one week my incision opened, both at the top and bottom. It drained significant amounts of fluid, which went from serosanguinous to seropurulent drainage, on four occasions. At this time, the upper part of my incision is open to a depth of 1.96 inches. I have been packing it for two weeks with no improvement.

I almost completed Augmentin but developed a rash and was switched to Bactrim DS. I continue to have severe pain and see no signs of improvement. I am actively draining yellow to green pus that has a very slight odor which continues to increase. I have only had a low-grade fever, I am fatigued, and feel unwell. I am a registered nurse, and to me, all these are the signs that the mesh is preventing my incision from healing. I had complications from the mesh placed during my first hernia repair as well. I was supposed to return to work, but I would like the incision to be opened, cleaned out, and mesh removed. As I am a nurse, the PA is treating me for MRSA, and they have not cultured the wound. At this time, would it be a good idea to have the mesh removed? Or should something else be done?

Why is there a persistent stomach burning that persists despite taking medications?

Hello doctor,

I have severe burning in my stomach after eating and while changing my position. I used to smoke. It feels like something is flowing through my stomach. I had a problem emptying my stomach, and it was severe in the morning. I took Normaxin, Velgut, and Rabonik Plus for three weeks, as the doctor prescribed. Initially, it was effective, but after completing the course, the problem still persists. Please help.

How soon should a bleeding wound be stitched?

Hi doctor,

I have a wound. I know that it needs stitches, but that is not an option at the moment. How long have I got to seek medical attention if it has not stopped bleeding?
