Can Gestafine and Folvite be taken during pregnancy?

Hello doctor,

I am 26 years old. I did not get my period for the past five weeks and yesterday I checked for my pregnancy and it turned out to be positive. I called my gynecologist and she suggested me to take Gestafine 200 one at night. And Folvite one in the afternoon. And also, she suggested taking one injection LUPI hCG HP 5000 that I will take it today evening. Is that the correct medication given by my doctor? What other precautions and other things that I have to do now? Please suggest me. And also about the food.

What does increased fetal cavum septum pellucidum mean?

Hello doctor,

I am 34 weeks pregnant. Until two weeks ago, all the ultrasound reports were normal. The chance of Down's syndrome was 1 in 20000. But, two weeks ago they accidentally noticed a dent on my baby's head and cavum septi pellucidi (CSP) was slightly more than the 2SD. I was told to repeat the ultrasound, and again yesterday they could see the dent, and the CSP was even bigger. The report reads as follows. CSP: 96 mm (85 mm is +2SD for 35 to 36 weeks GA) Bilaterally, very mild indentation of occipital bones is again seen. Prominent CSP measures 8.9 mm (2SD above normal). For 31 to 32 weeks gestation normal CSP is 8.59 mm. An unremarkable appearance of cerebellum and remainder of the brain for gestational age. Can you help me understand what is wrong with my fetus?

What is the treatment for irregular periods with PCOD?

Hi doctor,

I am 32 years old. My height is 5'7" and weighs about 242.5 lbs. I am having irregular periods from a long time. PCOD was detected and prescribed Ginette 35 and M2 tone (as I remember). I took for two months and my weight was increased by 22 lbs and so I stopped. No medicines at present. I used to take Primolut N for delaying periods during any functions but now I stop that too. I am facing severe abdominal pain, cramps during irregular periods (usually occurs once in one and a half to two months) making me unable to move, sleep, walk, ride vehicle, etc. My friend asked me to take Apcod sachet for irregular periods but I did not take yet. It would be great if you could help me with my period issues or prescribe medicine. I am allergic to cold and dust and my chest specialist has asked me not to take any steroids due to overweight. Rest I do not have any problem. I have done USG pelvis and abdomen, Thyroid T3, T4, and TSH. I do not have a thyroid problem.

Can low hCG levels and brown spotting prevent pregnancy?

Hi doctor,

My wife has brown spotting and mild abdominal pain since a few days. We did beta hCG test three times, and the results were 257 mlU/ml, 437 mlU/ml, and 657 mlU/ml respectively. Once in a while, she feels a sharp pain on the left side lower abdomen. So, we checked for ectopic pregnancy by transvaginal ultrasound. But they did not find any pregnancy in the left fallopian tube or the uterus, except a thick endometrium. The doctor said that the hope for a viable pregnancy is very low and there is still a chance for an ectopic pregnancy. Based on the hCG results, the doctor decided to go for Methotrexate injection. I would like a second opinion on this.

We got married three years ago, and have been trying to conceive for the past two years. My wife had an ectopic pregnancy which ended with right side fallopian tube removal and a laparoscopic surgery was done to remove a block on the left fallopian tube. The tube is open as per HSG test. Currently, my wife takes Thyronorm, Folsafe and Naturogest 200 medicines. She also has mild PCOD and hyperthyroidism.
