Torticollis

Wry neck or torticollis is twist and tilt in the neck. The head tilt to one side and the chin to the other side. It results when the neck muscle or its blood supply gets damaged. It usually resolves on its own but may recur. It can be congenital or acquired. It is a painful condition that causes difficulty in daily activities. Physical therapy includes gentle stretches and strengthening exercise, massaging the affected area, taping, and some home exercise programs.
