Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I fell on the stairs while carrying my infant. My left glute took the brunt of the fall and was badly bruised. The soreness lasted for weeks after the bruise cleared. There was a bump which I thought was a hematoma. After four months, I felt a hard knot in my left leg. I realized that my left glute looked smaller than my right. Will the knot get smaller and will my glute muscle grow new?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query and understood your concern.
It seems you have hurt your gluteus muscle badly and it has formed a tender point with a ganglion-type formation. So, I suggest you do an X-ray and visit your nearby physiotherapist. He will physically examine you and will see the condition of your back. Your left gluteus is atrophied because of the fall. Do not limp in any way. Lie down flat on your bed and keep a small pillow underneath the left buttock. Try to push down the pillow with your buttock.
I hope this has helped you.
Thanks and regards.
