Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am sure I pulled something in my back and maybe other areas from playing basketball. I have deep back pain in the left middle area and a needle-stabbing pain in my heart. It is also harder to take deep breaths if I think about it too much and yawn because of it.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have reviewed your question, and based on your description, you may be suffering from a rib subluxation. Rib subluxations often present with sharp pain and can be very painful when you move or take deep breaths. In addition to this, you most likely have a muscle sprain or strain. You may have noticed some tightness and spasms in the same area.
I recommend that you see a local chiropractor for a proper examination. If they believe you are a candidate for chiropractic care, they will most likely recommend a trial of care to determine how you will respond to treatment.
Please note: I recommend checking this since you noted stabbing pain in your heart. While it may be a simple rib subluxation that a chiropractor can easily treat, the fact that you are experiencing heart symptoms is enough for me to tell you that you should see your primary care physician and, if symptoms get worse, go to the emergency room.
I hope that you get your answer.
Please let me know if you want some help.
Thank you.
