Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have swelling above the right knee with a tenderness of the right quadriceps and pain in the knee when I run or do overactivity.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As you have swelling and pain in the knee joint, I suggest you apply an ice pack thrice a day for 15 minutes. Rest as much as possible without exercising until the pain reduces ultimately.

If you do not find any improvement in two days, then go for an X-ray of the knee joint and follow back with reports. Also, as you have a history of ligament tear and patellofemoral syndrome, it needs to be treated with care, and rest is necessary. If you pressurize the muscles, you will have more pain.

I suggest you undergo pulsed electromagnetic field therapy for ten days. The joint and muscles pain, inflammation, and stiffness will be healed completely without any side effects.

Follow back if you have any more queries and also looking forward to your X-ray reports.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
