Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from knee pain for one year. It is causing weight gain and further worsening knee pain. I want to decrease body weight by exercising on gym equipment.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your problem.

As you are at age 53, rather than going for gym equipment I recommend you to follow the steps I have mentioned below.

  1. Do some yoga and pranayam for 30 minutes daily. It will help you a lot.
  2. Walk for at least 15 minutes in the morning. Only brisk walking not jogging.
  3. You can use a dumbbell and do some hand exercises. 20 repetitions for one hand and so for the other.
  4. And drink lukewarm water twice daily.
  5. Consult a dietician.
  6. By following these above instructions you can easily lose 11 pounds in 2 months.
  7. For knee pain, you can do some static quadriceps exercises. Place a towel roll under your knee and try to press it with the knee. Press it downwards.

I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
